Accommodating, Comfortable, Flexible, Well-Appointed and Homely
"We stayed at Stonehaven for nine days while driving from Ennis, a city centrally located for touring, to points across western Ireland. Marie, the innkeeper, is experienced and efficient. She is also solicitous for the guest's comfort and anticipates daily needs for driving tips, directions, dining and shopping recommendations. The inn is neat and clean as you would expect an Irish home to be. You will park at the front door. In the breakfast room you'll find yourself surrounded by family photos and memoribilia as you sip morning tea or coffee from a china cup. Free breakfasts are substantial and offer some variety. Be just a little adventurous. I found that I was fond of the Black Pudding, but fare more familiar to American travelers is offered too. I have recommended Marie's inn to my family members. I hope I can join them when they begin their own Irish adventures headquartered at Stonehaven."
